Slidefluence Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Slidefluence ("Slidefluence", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our AI-powered slideshow and video generation service. Slidefluence is committed to handling your data responsibly and transparently.

Data we collect

Slidefluence collects the following categories of information:

Account data: email address, password hash, full name (optional), and profile preferences
TikTok account metadata: when you connect a TikTok account to Slidefluence, we receive your TikTok username, avatar, display name, and follower/following counts via TikTok's official API. Slidefluence never receives your TikTok password.
OAuth tokens: access and refresh tokens for TikTok and YouTube, stored encrypted at rest. These are required to publish content on your behalf.
Generated content: slideshow copy, captions, hashtags, AI-generated and stock images, YouTube Shorts MP4 files
Usage data: which features you use, post performance (likes, views, comments returned by TikTok's API), error logs
Billing data: processed by Stripe and (for crypto payments) Cryptomus. Slidefluence never stores card or wallet details directly.

How we use it

To generate and publish slideshows to your connected TikTok account
To generate and publish Shorts to your connected YouTube channel
To display analytics in your dashboard
To bill you for your subscription
To send essential service emails (account, billing, security)
To send product updates and promotions (only if you opted in at signup; you can unsubscribe anytime)
To improve Slidefluence via anonymized aggregate usage analytics

TikTok data handling

When you connect a TikTok account to Slidefluence:

Slidefluence requests only the OAuth scopes necessary for the features you use — typically user.info.basic, video.upload, and video.publish.
Your TikTok tokens are stored encrypted in our Supabase Postgres database and are never exposed in client-side code.
Slidefluence does not share your TikTok credentials with any third party.
You may disconnect your TikTok account at any time from your Slidefluence dashboard. On disconnect, Slidefluence immediately deletes the stored OAuth tokens.
You may also revoke Slidefluence's access from TikTok's app management page.

Data sharing

Slidefluence does not sell your data. We share data only with the service providers required to operate the product:

Supabase — hosting and database (EU region)
Vercel — web hosting
Stripe — billing
Cryptomus — optional crypto payments
Anthropic — AI text generation (Claude)
OpenAI — voice narration and transcription (for YouTube Shorts)
Replicate — AI image generation (FLUX)
Resend — transactional email delivery
TikTok — to publish content on your behalf via TikTok's Content Posting API
Google (YouTube) — to publish Shorts on your behalf via the YouTube Data API

Data retention

Account data: retained until you delete your account
OAuth tokens: deleted immediately when you disconnect an account
Generated video files: retained for 30 days, then automatically purged from storage. Metadata (script, niche, timestamps) is retained in your history indefinitely.
Generated slideshow images: retained until you delete the slideshow

Your rights

Under GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable laws, you have the right to:

Access the personal data Slidefluence holds about you
Export your data (available from dashboard settings)
Correct inaccurate data
Delete your account and all associated data
Object to or restrict certain processing
Withdraw consent for marketing emails at any time

Security

Slidefluence uses industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest) and applies strict access controls. We never request your TikTok password and never receive it. OAuth tokens are stored in a database with row-level security so each user can access only their own data.

Children

Slidefluence is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has signed up, please contact support@tokshift.com and we will delete the account.

Changes to this Policy

Slidefluence may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-product banner. Continued use of Slidefluence after changes constitutes acceptance.
